Quality control through every stage of the optical media replication process is essential in order to avoid the troublesome issue of mixed product. The high-speed Ident Code Inspector from DaTARIUS uses three verification methods to protect against mixed product for all optical media, including DVD. Discs are checked on twin liners during replication to prevent mixed product, and prior to DVD bonding to ensure that the correct half discs are bonded together. In addition, inspection at the printing stage confirms that the data on the disc matches the label being applied, while checking at the packaging stage ensures that the correct disc is placed in the jewel box.
